An embroidery machine cannot read a JPG, PNG, or vector logo. Digitizing translates your artwork into a stitch file that tells the machine exactly where each needle penetration goes: stitch type, direction, density, underlay, and sequence. Good digitizing is why one logo sews crisp and flat while an identical-looking file puckers, gaps, or loses its lettering. It is a one-time setup per design and per size range, and it is what makes embroidery look professional rather than homemade.

Common Embroidery Placements
Cap front and cap side. Crown panels limit height, so wide and short layouts stitch best. Curved seams also affect what fits.
Left chest. The classic corporate placement, generous enough for a logo plus a short line of text when it is sized correctly.
Sleeve and cuff. Narrow areas that reward simple, compact marks over detailed illustrations.
Jacket back and bags. The largest usable areas, ideal for full logos, lettering arcs, and statement graphics.

What size should my embroidery logo be?
It depends on the placement. A cap front, a left chest, a sleeve, and a jacket back each have their own usable area. Upload your design above and the advisor keeps your artwork's proportions while fitting it to the placement you choose.
Do I need to know the exact size before ordering?
No. The advisor gives you a well-matched starting size, and you can adjust the width and height at any point. Final dimensions are confirmed during mockup review before anything is stitched.
How long does digitizing take?
Most digitizing files are completed within 24 hours. Complex artwork with heavy detail may take slightly longer, and we'll tell you upfront if that's the case.
Can you digitize small text?
Yes, within limits. Very small lettering needs enough physical height to hold a readable stitch. If your text is too small for the placement you chose, we'll flag it during mockup review and suggest an adjustment.
