How Much Do Custom Patches Cost?

Short answer: custom patches run from about $1.35 per patch on a 500-piece embroidered order up to $6.60 per patch on a small chenille run. Construction and quantity decide almost everything else.
Every price on this page is pulled live from our production price sheet and covers finished sizes up to 4 inches on the longest side with a standard sew-on, iron-on or adhesive backing. There is no separate setup fee and no digitizing charge folded into these totals.
What a typical 100-piece run costs
100 pieces is the quantity most buyers start with. Each construction is priced differently because the materials and machine time are different. Open a construction below to see its own quantity breaks.

What actually changes your patch price
1. Patch type
Construction is the single biggest lever. At 100 pieces the spread runs from $2.20 per embroidered patch up to $3.20 per PVC patch, because molded and plush constructions need tooling and material that stitching does not. 2. Quantity
Quantity is the second lever and the one most buyers underuse. Moving an embroidered order from 5 pieces to 500 cuts the per-piece cost by about 92%. If a second run is likely within the year, ordering it now is almost always cheaper than reordering later.
3. Finished size
The tables above apply when the longest finished side is 4 inches or less. Larger patches use more material and more stitch or mold time, so they are hand-priced on your quote. Check how a size actually reads before you commit with the Actual Size Visualizer or the size guide.
4. Backing
Sew-on, iron-on / heat-seal and adhesive backings are included in the prices above at no extra charge. Hook-and-loop (Velcro) adds $0.30 per patch — $30 on a 100-piece run. Read iron-on vs sew-on vs Velcro before you pick.
5. Artwork complexity
Complexity does not carry its own line item on the sheet. Where it shows up is in the construction you need: a logo with small type or fine linework may push you from embroidered to woven, and a full-color illustration may push you to printed. That construction change is what moves the price, not detail on its own.
6. Rush production
Standard production is 10 to 14 Business Days after sample approval and is included. Rush adds a flat $50 to the order and brings smaller runs to 5 to 7 Business Days, larger runs to 7 to 10 Business Days.

- How much do 100 custom patches cost?
- At 100 pieces, custom embroidered patches are $220 total, which is about $2.20 per patch. PVC is $320 ($3.20 each), woven is $235 ($2.35 each) and chenille is $340 ($3.40 each). Standard pricing applies up to 4 inches on the longest side, with a standard backing.
- How much do 50 custom patches cost?
- Fifty embroidered patches are $165 ($3.30 each) and fifty PVC patches are $225 ($4.50 each). Smaller runs carry a higher per-piece cost because setup work is spread across fewer pieces.
- How much do 500 custom patches cost?
- Five hundred embroidered patches are $675, or $1.35 per patch. Five hundred PVC patches are $1,100 ($2.20 each) and five hundred leather patches are $1,085 ($2.17 each).
- What is the minimum order for custom patches?
- Every custom patch type starts at 5 pieces: embroidered, printed, woven, chenille, leather, PVC and glow-in-the-dark PVC. Ordering 10, 25, 50 or more simply lowers your per-piece price.
- Are there setup or digitizing fees?
- No separate setup fee is added to the patch prices shown here. The totals on this page are the totals you pay for that quantity, before any optional upgrade such as hook-and-loop backing or rush production.
- Do larger patches cost more?
- Yes. Standard pricing applies up to 4 inches on the longest side. Anything larger, or an unusual custom shape, is priced by hand on your quote because it uses more material and more machine time.
- How long does production take once I approve?
- Standard production is 10 to 14 Business Days after you approve your sample. Rush is 5 to 7 Business Days for smaller runs and 7 to 10 Business Days on larger ones.
