Law Enforcement Patches
We make custom police patches from your department's approved artwork: shoulder patches, badge-shaped patches, unit and specialty patches, in embroidered or PVC construction, from 5 pieces. Every order starts with a free digital mockup so your command staff can review it before anything is paid.
The shoulder patch is the most visible piece of a police uniform. It usually carries the agency name, the city, county or state, and a central emblem, inside a shield, arch or rounded shape. It is worn on one or both sleeves just below the shoulder seam, following your department's uniform policy.
Because shoulder patches are large and detailed, they are typically embroidered with a merrowed border. We digitize the artwork so small lettering and fine linework hold up, and you review the result on the mockup.
Embroidered badge patches reproduce the outline of a star, shield or eagle-top badge in thread. They are used on jackets, outerwear and casual uniforms where a metal badge is impractical. We cut them to the shape of your artwork; the design itself must come from your department, because we describe and produce patches generically and do not reproduce any agency's insignia without authorization.
Shoulder patches are usually several inches tall, so most are quoted individually. Smaller pieces such as chest IDs, unit tabs and specialty patches often fall within instant pricing, which covers designs up to 4″ on the longest side. The patch size chart lists common sizes.
A merrowed border is the overlocked, rounded edge seen on most uniform patches; it is durable and suits shields and circles. Complex outlines use a flat stitched edge that follows the shape. Colors are matched to your artwork, such as the navy, black and gold common on police uniforms, and confirmed on the mockup.
Embroidered remains the standard for class A and class B uniform shirts and jackets. It looks traditional and is comfortable against fabric.
PVC is molded rubber. It does not fray, wipes clean, and handles rain, mud and sweat, which makes it popular on tactical vests, plate carriers, bags and K9 gear. See PVC patches, tactical patches and K9 patches.
Need name tapes too? See custom name patches. Fire and EMS agencies can see fire department patches.

Embroidered is the traditional choice for uniform shirts and jackets. PVC is rubber, wipes clean and handles rain and mud well, so it suits tactical vests, plate carriers and outdoor gear.
Yes. Hook-and-loop is available on every construction we make, so the same design can be sewn to shirts and pressed onto loop panels on vests.
Every custom patch type starts at 5 pieces: embroidered, woven, printed, chenille, leather, PVC and glow-in-the-dark PVC. Larger quantities simply lower your per-piece price.
You review and approve your free digital mockup before paying. After payment, we make a real sample and send you a photo of it to approve before the full production run begins.
